2024 Grant Awards

The Vadnais Heights Area Community Foundation awarded almost $10,000 in grants this spring. From scholarships to local seniors to donations to area foodshelves, to important projects carried out by nonprofit organizations, VHACF dollars are supporting our community in important ways.

Scholarships: VHACF partners with the Vadnais Heights Lions to award the Community Partnership Scholarship to a senior at each of the three high schools in our area.

Food Shelves: VHACF contributed to food programs in both White Bear Lake and Vadnais Heights this spring to help provide healthy food to those who need it.

Arts: VHACF continued its support of the White Bear Center for the Arts annual High School Visual Arts Competition.

Music: The North Suburban Chorus was awarded a grant to bring musical performances to audiences in area senior facilities.

Quality of Life for All: Hammer & Northeast Residences was awarded a grant to provide additional discretionary spending money for individuals with disabilities, which will provide opportunities for enrichment activities and field trips.

Support for Survivors of Abuse and Violence: VHACF awarded a grant to Northeast Youth and Family Services to aid survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse who require immediate assistance with food, clothing, and hygiene kits.

Seniors: Two VHACF grants were awarded to organizations supporting seniors in our community.

Cerenity Care of White Bear Lake received a VHACF grant to to support the purchase of a NuStep exercise bike for their therapy department to help seniors return to health and mobility.

Vadnais Heights Parks and Recreation received VHACF funding to provide opportunities for day trips to area museums, attractions, and concerts, helping to promote health, wellness, and community among seniors.
